Alice Louise Plummer Beatty, age 83, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.  She was born March 5, 1939 in Coalton, Ohio, daughter of the late James Allen Plummer and Alice Louise Baesman Plummer Forsythe.  Alice was a 1957 graduate of Jackson High School.  She spent the majority of her life as a caregiver and she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafting.  Alice is survived by children, Mark M. Beatty and Alicia A. Beatty, both of Wellston; granddaughter, Gwendolyn V. Beatty Howison (Tom); sister-in-law, Maxine Plummer; and nephews, Einon, Jeffrey, Jimmie and Johnny Plummer.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott E. Beatty; sister, Grace A.  Plummer Adkins; brothers, Einon H. Plummer and James A. Plummer; and longtime companion, Charles Black.  In keeping with Alice's wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alice's name can be made to Bella Run Equine, 4664 Pleasant Hill Road, Athens, Ohio 45701.  Bella Run Equine is a 501C3 organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of neglected or slaughter-bound horses.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
