Annajane
Reffett
January 8, 1940 – July 13, 2022
Annajane Thompson Reffett, age 82, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born January 8, 1940 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Harold W. and Hazel A. (Downard) Thompson. Annajane attended school in McArthur, where she met and later married the love of her life, Ray T. Reffett, on August 10, 1956. They had 6 beautiful children together. Annajane was a stay-at-home mother and devoted herself to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and God. She was a lifetime member of the McArthur Freewill Baptist Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Hamden, from which she received her 50 year pin. Her door was always open for anyone who wanted to come and sit with her at her kitchen table and talk. Annajane was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need, even if it was as small as getting the morning paper for her friends. She had the largest, most compassionate heart and made all of those around her feel so loved and special. Her house was always filled with love and laughter. Annajane made sure to stay in contact with everyone so that they knew she was thinking about them. She loved all things beautiful and was always planting flowers and/or sending flowers to family and friends. She will be missed by so many people. "God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his loving arms around you and whispered, "Come home with me". A golden heart stopped beating, loving hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best." Annajane is survived by her children Melissa (Carl) Trivette, Michael (Valerie) Reffett, Marnita (Roger) Martin, Marsha Hutchison, and Monica Reffett; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; along with her loving church family, special friends Martha and Carles Prater, Brenda Henderson, and other special friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray T. Reffett, and infant daughter, Myrna Jane Reffett. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 17 th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McArthur Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
