Bailey Lawrence Ousley

  Bailey Lawrence Ousley, age 17, of Wellston, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Holzer Medical Center ER in Jackson from injuries he received in a tragic ATV accident. He was born February 2, 2009 in Gallipolis, Ohio. This coming fall, Bailey would have started his senior year as a member of the 2027 graduating class at Wellston High School. Bailey’s passion was football. He was anxiously waiting to take his place on the football field again as a starting member of the Wellston Golden Rockets, proudly wearing jersey #11. Outside of football, Bailey loved fishing and enjoyed playing video games and having a good time with his friends and family, especially his cousins. He is survived by his parents, Billy Holton and Chyann Bright; grandparents, William Holton, Sr., Diana and Jerry Lodatto and Rueben Ousley; aunts and uncles, Lawrence and Holly Ousley, Chris and Savannah Wyatt and Stephanie and Jacob Bodey, along with several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bailey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Lisa Ousley and Leonard and Janet Wyatt. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 1, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wellston High School gymnasium. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
