Barbara Rider Albert, age 94, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Edgewood Manor in Wellston.  She was born September 13, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Carus Alvinsi Steorts and Adda Rae James Steorts.  Barb was a 1946 graduate of Wellston High School and later attended Manpower Training in Jackson, where she received a certification in Business.  She retired from Ohio University, where for over 28 years, she worked in the accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.  Barb was also a licensed real estate agent who sold real estate for both Donna Summers Realty and ERA Realty for several years.  Barb had a strong faith in God, and previously attended the former E.U.B. Church and Wills Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.  She is survived by her children, Mark Rider, Brent Rider (Debra), Carmen Cline (John), Toni Osborne (Steve) and Tracey Lamb (Rick); step-daughters, Diana Baisden (Tim) and Brenda Hutchison; sister-in-law, Marilyn Steorts; along with 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including her great-granddaughter, Aby Rider, her loving caregiver.  Besides her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Rider in 1997; second husband, Luther Albert in 2021; and siblings, Mary Ella Steorts, Betty Albrecht, Sonny Steorts and Joanne Steorts.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Thursday, January 12th, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Carmen Cline and Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
