She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jon R. Hendershott, whom she met while teaching at Bitburg Air Force Base in Germany; children, Jeff Hendershott (Christy) of Wellston, and Amy Hendershott (Ryan Goodwin) of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Katie Blatchley (Joe), Kennedy Goodwin, Derek Barnhill and Devin Barnhill; soon to be great-granddaughter, Emma Blatchley; along with her 5 beloved granddogs. In keeping with Becky's wishes, cremation followed her passing. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 5th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Father David Young officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Because of her love of dogs, the family request in lieu of flowers, contributions in Becky's memory be given to the Jackson County Dog Pound, c/o Jackson County Commissioners, 275 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
