Betty Jane Betts, age 85, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025,  at her home.  She was born May 26, 1940 in Ray, Ohio to the late Margaret A. Burt.  Following 28 years of service, Betty retired from the State of Ohio, where she was employed by the Department of Natural Resources.  Betty loved to sew, and also enjoyed crocheting, reading and working crossword puzzles.  She was a former 4-H advisor, Sunday School teacher and youth leader, and attended Rt. 327 Church in Ray. Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald V. Betts; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Lynn Alban, Kathryn and Gregory Keeney, and Sherry and Jerry Thompson; along with 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Besides her mother, Betty was preceded in death by brother, Arthur Burt, and sisters, Linda Burt and Etta Faye Manning.  Calling hours will be Saturday, June 21st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brian Carpenter officiating.  Burial will be in the Bell Cemetery in Allensville.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwillams-funeralhome.com.
