Obituary

Betty Ann Coleman, age 75, of McArthur, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston.  She was born May 19, 1949 in Delbarton, West Virginia, daughter of the late Riley Albert Bailey and Pauline Boyce Bailey.  Betty was a devoted wife to her husband Larry for 58 years.  Together they grew, loved and raised a family.  If you saw Betty around, you knew that Larry wasn't far away.  They were inseparable. They were soulmates.  Betty dedicated her whole life to loving and caring for her family.  She was far from a homebody; she loved to be on the go every day.  Many knew Betty as "Grandma".  You didn't have to be family to call her that and for her to take you in as one of her own.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Betty looked forward to making memories and spending time with her grandkids.  Even until her last days, Betty was worried about her family and wanted to be sure the kids were taken care of.  To say she had a heart of pure gold would be an understatement.  Betty attended Liberty Christian Center in Jackson.  She looked forward to the day she would see Christ face-to-face.  Betty was the perfect example of a Christian and what it means to trust God and His plans.  She may be gone from this earth, but she lives on through the people and hearts she touched.  Betty is survived by her children, Angie Coleman (David Johnson), Nicole Coleman (Paul Winkler), James Coleman (Kimberly) and Sarah Coleman; very special niece, Vicki Summers (Joe); grandchildren, Brandon Coleman (Paige), Betty Coleman (Nathan McManis), Destiny Coleman (Jaiman Bentley), twins, Isaiah and Daniel Winkler, DJ Coleman, and Joshua Coleman; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores "Nellie" Hutchinson; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, those awaiting Betty's arrival in Heaven were her husband, Larry Coleman, who passed away May 19, 2024; infant son, Anthony Coleman; grandson, Jeremy Coleman; great-grandchildren, Shelisa Coleman and Mason Coleman; brothers, Bill Bailey, Jimmy Bailey, Darrell Bailey, and Steve Bailey, and sisters, Christine Farmer and Della Hensley.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 4th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Burley Muncy officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
