Betty Faye Norton, age 89, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born March 23, 1932, in Hamden, Ohio to the late Henry and Ruth (Souders) Newman. Betty was a 1950 graduate of Hamden High School and in her younger years enjoyed square dancing and going camping. She was a member of Puritan Freewill Baptist Church. Betty is survived by her children, Debbie (Kenny) Clemons, Barbara (Mark) Clemons, and Larry (Vickie) Norton; sister, Dorothy Jenkins; sister-in-law, Dorothy Newman; grandchildren, Wendy Brozak, Jeremy Clemons, Ashley Riegel, Cody Clemons, Brandon Norton, and Andrea Felber; along with 13 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Harry "Dig" Norton; sister, Margie Kisor; brothers, Robert Newman, Bill Newman, and Larry Newman; and great-grandson Bentley Riegel. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 19th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Puritan Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.
