Betty Lou Osborne, age 84, of Wellston, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019, at her home.  She was born July 27, 1935 in Allock, Kentucky, daughter of the late Boggs Hayes and Alta Eversole Hayes.  Betty held an associate's degree in business, but chose to be a loving wife, mother and homemaker her entire adult life.  Out of all of her titles, the best title Betty ever held was that of Mamaw Betty.  She also enjoyed sewing, reading and making ceramics.  Betty is survived by her sons, Donald B. Osborne, Jr. (Heather Dawn) of Chillicothe and Dennis W. Osborne (Cynthia Dawn) of Wellston; sister, Freda Mae Hicks (Don) of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; brother, Bill Hayes of North Carolina; along with 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Osborne, Sr. in 2006; sister, Ruth Farrow; and brothers, Pete Hayes, Boggs Hayes, Jr. and Edward Hayes.  Calling hours will be Friday, December 20, 2019, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 P.M. with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
