Obituary

William Wesley "Bill" Bame, age 58, of Wellston Ohio, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer, into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday July 8, 2025. He was born July 26, 1966, in Findley Ohio, to William Wesley Bame and Mary Catherine Gase Bame. He was employed by Kenworth for 15 years until his health declined.  Bill will mostly be remembered for his kind spirit, gentle soul, and the love he had for his family.  Some of the hobbies he enjoyed were reading, especially the bible, walking, running, bicycling, wine making, playing chess and word puzzles.  Bill leaves behind his wife of 22 years, they would have celebrated 23 years of marriage on July 12th.  Together they shared four sons, four daughters, and 12 grandchildren.  Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Landrum Bame; sons, Christopher Butcher (Rachel), Andrew Butcher, William "Wesley" Bame (Lacey), Brody Bame (Ash Grobowski); daughters, Sarah Cook, Mary Bame, Ashley Bame (Ryan Perry), and Jenna Bame (Hunter Hess); grandchildren; stepmom, Cinda Bame; siblings, Jill Kramer Bukard, Jon Bame (Stephanie), David Bame (Robin), and Robert Bame (Lori).  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Heather Bame.  In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation followed his passing.  A memorial service will be held at the Holiness House of Prayer, Wellston OH, with a reception to follow at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:1-6
