Billi Jo "BJ" Ervin, age 65, of Vinton, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at her home.  She was born November 29, 1958 in Meigs, Ohio, daughter of the late William Howell "Bill" Blazer and Zilpha Sue Hall Burnette.  BJ was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center and later received an associate's degree in accounting from Southeastern Business College.  She retired from Wellston City Schools where she was employed as a school cook.  BJ was a free-spirited individual who loved being outdoors.  She enjoyed riding her side-by-side, going fishing, and basking in the surroundings around her.  BJ is survived by her children, Justin Ervin (Erica) and Courtney Ervin (Aaron Ward); grandchildren, Zane Ervin, AJ Ervin, and Henley Ward; great-granddaughter, Emrea Ervin; step-mother, Diana Blazer; step-sister, Heather Blazer, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Burnette, and step-brother, Christopher Blazer.  Calling hours will be Friday, October 25th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  In keeping with BJ's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  In the words of BJ, "Remember when, my friends."  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
