Robert H. "Bob" Kemp, Jr., age 73, of Wellston, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at his home.  He was born January 4, 1950 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Robert H. Kemp, Sr. and Helen Virginia White Kemp.  Bob graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1968.  He was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War.  His selfless dedication to his country led him to become a Purple Heart recipient.  Bob retired from MHC of Chillicothe.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.  Bob was a member of the N.R.A., Ohio Hills Catfish Club, American Legion Post 371 of Wellston, and a charter member of the V.F.W. Post 9092 in Wellston.  He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Julie Kemp and Matt and Toni Kemp; grandchildren, RJ, Alyvia, Bodie and Cole Kemp; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Conley and Neysea and Jerry Sandoval; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Bonny Huffman and John Bethel; companion, Vicki Ousley; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special niece, Lauren.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Kemp, Sr. and Helen Morgan; wife, Jill Huffman Kemp; and brother-in-law, Tony Conley.  Calling hours will be Friday, February 24th, from 5 to 8 pm.
