Bonnie V. Byus, age 82, of Wellston, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at her home.  She was born December 3, 1941 in Hernshaw, West Virginia to the late Carl D. Holcomb and Maggie M. Layman Holcomb.  Bonnie retired from Merillat Industries in Jackson where she was employed for 28 ½ years.  Following her retirement, Bonnie enjoyed working in her flower gardens, going to yard sales and flea markets, and spending time with her family and friends.  She is survived by her husband, Randall W. Byus; daughters, Kathy Alinda Dotson (Jeff) of Wellston and Teresa Lynn Stewart (Jack) of Wellston; step-sons, Matthew William Byus (Samantha) of Zanesville, Daniel Ray Byus of Wellston, and Randall Jay Byus (Angel) of Wellston; brothers, Kenny Holcomb of Connecticut, Harlan Holcomb (Louise) of Delaware, and Harry Holcomb (Nancy) of Connecticut; along with 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Ronald E. "Buddy" Dickens; step-son, Lt. Stephen Franklin Byus; brother, Jack Holcomb; and sisters-in-law, Connie Holcomb and Nancy Holcomb.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 29th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
