Bonnie K. Dozer, age 86, of Hamden, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at her home. She was born September 21, 1935 in Ray, Ohio to the late Orville Clifton Martin and Myrtle Leona Terry Martin. Bonnie graduated from Jackson High School in 1953. She retired from K-Mart, where she was employed for several years. Bonnie was a past member of the Wellston Church of the Nazarene, where she served as church secretary, and was a former volunteer at My Brother's Place. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles. traveling, quilting, watching the birds and spending time with family and friends. Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Chaney of Hamden, Deborah Walker (Joe) of Lancaster and Tamela Mikesell (Scott) of Auburn, Washington; grandchildren, Chad Sorrell, Heather Chaney, Nathan Hedges, Jonathan Hedges (Brittany) and Sabrina Cline (Frank); great-grandchildren, Derek Chaney (Kourtney) and Mason Cline; brother, Lowell Martin (Melody) of Zaleski; sisters-in-law, Susie Martin, Jerry Martin, Edna Karst, Thelma Ponko and Dorothy Dozer; brother-in-law, Rev. Ed Dozer; along with several nieces, nephews and her little dog, JimBo. Besides her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Clarence F. Dozer in 2005; grandson, Jason Sorrell; brothers, Harold Martin (Jean), Orin Martin and Louis Martin; 1 infant sister; and son-in-law, David Chaney. The family would like to thank National Church Residences Hospice nurses Jessica and Amanda for their wonderful care. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 7th, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Ray. For those who wish, contributions in Bonnie's memory can be given to Painted Acres Animal Rescue, 68649 Dutch Lane, Zaleski, Ohio 45698.
