Brenton Robert "Fonz" Phillips, age 50, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He was born November 30, 1971 in Gallipolis to Robert Lin Phillips and Pauletta Joye Donahoe Phillips.  Brent was a 1990 graduate of Wellston High School, where he enjoyed playing basketball with the Wellston Runnin' Rockets.  He was a pipefitter and a member of Union Local #577 for over 20 years.  Brent loved to listen to music and enjoyed being with friends.  He had a contagious laugh and was always the life of the party.  Brent was also an avid sports fan who loved cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Marshall University Thundering Herd.  He is survived by his father, Bob Phillips; children, Macie Lynn Phillips, Jacob Brenton Phillips and Kinly Grace Phillips; sisters, Joye Lin Adkins (Larry), Bobbi Rachelle Anderson (Curt) and Amanda Gail McCormick (Jeff); companion, Jayne "Buttons" Campbell; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Brent was preceded in death by his mother, Paulette Phillips.  There will be no public services.  Private burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
