September 11, 1976 – June 22, 2025
Brian Michael Keller, age 48, of Chillicothe, and a former resident of Jackson, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born September 11, 1976 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Brian graduated from Jackson High School with the class of 1995. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio University in 1999. Brian worked in the finance field for 20 years before changing careers and looking for other opportunities. He was a great person in so many ways, including his care and concern for others. Brian loved sports, and his knowledge of sports was unmatched. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, attending close to 100 games in the "horseshoe", as well as attending every home game for the last 30 years against "the team from up North". The last game Brian attended was in Atlanta in January where the Buckeyes became National Champions. Brian was also a Star Trek fan, a great pool player, and loved playing golf whenever he had the time. He is survived by his grieving parents, Gary W. Keller (Robin), and Rosemary Kocsis; stepsisters, Stephanie Robinette (Tim), Amy Wills (Terra), and Melinda Craddock (Ian); aunt, Judy Merrill; uncle, John Kocsis; along with several cousins and friends, including his life long best friend, Mark Lloyd, whom he considered a brother. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Phyllis "Tootie" Keller, and George Kocsis and Catherine Kocsis O'Neil. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 26th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Father Thomas Herge and Pastor John Pelletier officiating. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Brian's name be given to the Humane Society of Jackson County, P.O. Box 1, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
