Carey Willard "Casey" Denney, age 84, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He was born April 17, 1939 in Pattonsville, Ohio, son of the late Harry Clifford Denney and Myrtle Ethel Scurlock Denney.  Casey was a former employee of McNally Pittsburg Manufacturing in Wellston, then later retired from Waterloo Coal Company.  He was a member of the Petrea Church, and enjoyed reading his Bible as much as he could.  In his spare time, Casey liked to repair and work on lawnmowers, and in years past, he was an avid hunter.  He could often be found in his garage, where he enjoyed spending time and talking with his friends.  Most of all, Casey was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved the time spent with his family.  He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Ava Marie Mosier Denney; children, Greg Denney (Marla), Debbie Adkins (Allan), and Kim Brown (Rodney); grandchildren, Dawn Vermillion (Joe), Tiffany McCarty (Jimmy), Greg Denney, Jr., Ashlyn Denney (Corey Culbertson), Samuel Denney (Lily Sizemore), Alana Carl (Evan), Courtney Carper (Steven), and Roddy Brown (Brianna); along with 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.  Besides his parents, Casey was preceded in death by his siblings, Sybil Lanning, Mary Cahoon, Harry Denney, Clifford Denney, Pearl Morgan, Ethel Denney, and Lula Mae Denney.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 7th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Thursday, June 8th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
