Carol A. Hayes, age 82, of Vinton, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at her home.  She was born December 28, 1938 in Wilkesboro, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Byron Thomas Sickler and Anntionette Luckasavage Sickler.  After graduating high school, Carol joined  the United States Air Force and then later went on to become an executive for Target.  She always enjoyed reading, cooking and quilting.  Carol is survived by her children, Scott Roberge, Ann Roberge, Doug Roberge (Jackie), Michael Roberge (Sandy) and Brian Roberge; sisters, Pat, Bunny, Mary, Louise and Liz; along with 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Hayes; and brothers, Ed and Byron.  In keeping with Carol's wishes, her body was cremated.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Carol's memory be given to Holzer Hospice, 2881 St. Rt. 160, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
