Carol Jenkins

  Carol Jean Jenkins, age 71, of Hamden, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born December 20, 1954 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Clyde Vance Harvey and Della Jean Sampson Harvey. Carol graduated from Vinton County High School with the class of 1973 and went on to receive a nursing degree from the Rio Grande School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse, who at an early age started working at various nursing facilities in the area for several years. Besides being a caregiver for others, Carol’s life revolved around her family and time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel and enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking. Carol is survived by her children, Terry Michael Jenkins, Jr., Todd H. Jenkins, Jamie C. Caudill (Aaron) and Jodi D. Jenkins; grandchildren, Allyson, Lillian, Onnaleise, Trealynne, Adam, Olivia, Callie, Arvin, Alexis, Keara, Toby, Talijah and Trevor; sister, Catherine Hayes (Rick); former husband, Terry Jenkins, Sr., along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death her brother, Clyde, Jr. and sister, Deborah. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating. In keeping with Carols’ wishes, cremation will follow the service.
