Carolyn A. Burke, age 88, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home.  She was born December 4, 1933 in Wellston, Ohio, the third daughter of Louis and Stella (Knipfer) Benson.  Carolyn, a 1951 graduate of Wellston High School, was a loving homemaker and a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston.  She is survived by her children, Connie (Robert) Harper of Columbus, Cheryl (Don) Thiessen of Wellston and Christopher (Robin) Burke of Wellston; along with 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and special friends.  Besides her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles R. Burke in 1998; and sisters, Lois Stottsberry and Betty Walsh Webber.  In keeping with Carolyn's wishes, her body was cremated.  A memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hamden Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Carolyn's memory be given to Hope United Methodist Church, 219 East First Street, Wellston, Ohio 45692.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
