Carson Garland Crabtree, age 8, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus following a courageous battle with heart failure.  He was born July 17, 2017 in Chillicothe, Ohio and attended South Elementary in Hamden. Carson was always happy and very spontaneous.  He had a funny personality and loved making others laugh.  Carson was not only a lovable child, but he was also a loving child….and he made sure that you knew it.  He always enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, swimming or 4-wheeling, it didn't matter.  Carson loved spending time on his Xbox, tablet, going to the beach, cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes, and was known to be a pretty good dancer.  Most of all, he loved having his family around and spending time with them.  Carson is survived by his parents, Joshua Garland Jenkins and Bridget Nicole Crabtree; brother, Joshua Jordan Crabtree; grandparents, Joseph Crabtree, Rebecca Day, Timothy Jenkins, and Karen Hammond; great-grandmother, Rae Riggs, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including special aunt and uncle, Brittany Day and Joseph Crabtree.  Calling hours will be Sunday, March 8, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will be Monday, March 9, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
