On the afternoon of August 9, 2022, Christine Delores "Teen" Ervin, age 82, of Wellston, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her bed at her home.  She was born August 31, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph Ambrosia Dunn and Icyl Virginia Young Trosper.  Teen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She retired from the Wellston City Schools, where she was employed as a cook/cook supervisor for over 20 years.  In the years following her retirement, she loved to pass the time with reading, traveling and playing casino games.  Teen was the epitome of an all-American grandmother and great grandmother, always hosting major holiday gatherings with the family, and enjoyed cooking for all.  Always the voice of calm and reason in the room, she was willing to help anyone in countless different ways regardless of the situation.  No matter what troubled you, you could always look to Teen for unwavering support.  She had an uncanny ability to defuse any situation and help those in need.  Teen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth "Bub" and Sheila Ervin of Wellston; grandchildren, Brian, Shane, Justin, Courtney, Jessica and Kristen; and great grandchildren, Zane, AJ, Austin, Shelby, Quinn, Jake, Braydyn and Jossylyn.  Besides her parents, Teen was preceded in death by her husband, Orland Stanley Ervin, Sr.; sons, Terry Ervin and Stanley Ervin; as well as 5 brothers and 6 sisters.  Calling hours will be Saturday, August 13th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Vinnie Powell officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt.
