Christine was born on December 9, 1952, to the late Glenneth and Geraldine Wrightsel Frye. Christine was a 1970 graduate of Vinton County High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She was a lifetime member of the McArthur Eagles Auxiliary 2279. Christine retired as a Postmaster from the United States Postal Service in 2014 after almost 40 years of services. Following retirement Christine enjoyed time with her grandchildren and traveling to Scotland with her daughter Tory and friends to finally encountering a “Hairy Coo.” Throughout Christine’s life she was a member of several community organizations. Her favorite past time was football season--you would likely find Christine attempting to dot the “O” while watching The Ohio State Football team. She also served as the treasurer of the Vinton Area Ministry until her illness. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her high school friend, the Kiki Sisters. Her favorite spot was sitting on the beach with her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Annie (Joe) Jackson, John Tyler Gosling and Tory (Jason) Walker, grandchildren Gannon and Tate Jackson and Lexie, Jackson and Leffie Christine Walker all of McArthur; her sister Roxanne (Rick) Perdue of Wellston, nieces Jill (Charles) Blum of North Carolina and Carla Crewey of Columbus, and nephew Evan Perdue of Wellston, great nieces Mackenzie (Neal) O’Quinn and Sydney (Colin) Palmer all of North Carolina. Special friends Nancy Allman of McArthur and Curtis Webb of Zaleski. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Tamara and Jeff Crewey, grandson Porter Walker, and the father of her children John Gregory Gosling. In keeping with Christine’s wishes, cremation followed her passing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, with an Eagle’s service at 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, May 20, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
