Christopher Nicholas "Chris" Scott, age 45, of Hamden, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio following a sudden illness.  He was born February 5, 1980 in South Williamson, Kentucky and grew up in Hamden, Ohio where he lived most of his life.  Chris worked as a contractor for Roddy and Son Construction with his cousin, Jason Roddy, and good friend, Brian Lane, for many years.  He was a loving and caring person with a big heart that was there for anyone who needed him.  Chris loved motorcycles and dirt bikes and in his spare time he enjoyed working and tinkering on them, as well as cars and trucks.  Chris is survived by his wife and companion of 29 years, Steffany Michelle Wickline Scott; daughter, Marissa Scott; mother, Patsy Marie Smith Wriston; brothers, Keith Scott (Holly) and Shawn Scott (Judy); along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Chris was preceded in death by his father, Billy Alvin Scott; stepfather, Doug Wriston; grandparents, Maxine Wilhite, Clarence Smith, Bill Scott, and Joyce Helby; and his cousin, Kimberly Messer.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Chris' brother, Keith Scott, officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.
