Cledith Prater Oiler, age 86, of McArthur, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born July 26, 1936 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Joseph Prater and Virginia Ousley Prater. Cledith, along with her husband, was the owner and operator of the former Oiler's Market in Dundas for 21 years. She was also a loving homemaker who enjoyed cooking, decorating her home, and entertaining her family. Cledith is survived by her husband, whom she married on November 7, 1953, Jack E. Oiler; daughters, Vickie Wortman (Kim) of McArthur and Heidi Mullins (Bob) of Athens; grandchildren, Stephanie Roush (Brett), Nick Wortman (Anthony Canini), Hunter Mullins and Layken Mullins; great-grandchildren, Jacinda Brown, Reese Wyant and Jack Fraley; great-great grandson, Zeke Brown; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Cledith was preceded in death by son, Donald Oiler; daughter, Rebecca Oiler Perry; brothers, Luke, Casey, Joe Ed, Rufus, and Charles Raymond Prater; and 5 infant siblings. Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 22nd, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 23rd, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.
