Cody Shawn Napper, age 33, of Hamden, went home to be with his God and Savior.  Cody was a very spiritual person that read his Bible in much of his spare time.  Cody had the biggest and most kindest heart.  He never met a stranger and was very compassionate to the less fortunate.  On Friday, October 29, 2021, Cody lost his battle with his addiction demons.  Everyone battles their own demons and we don't want Cody remembered as an addict.  We would like for him to be remembered as the son that loved his parents and would do anything for them; the brother that liked to be a practical jokester and would always tell us he loved us when we were parting or finishing a phone call; the uncle that loved his niece and nephews and wanted to be their playmate and fun uncle.  Cody loved the outdoors and would fish for hours and also enjoyed hunting.  He was a 2006 graduate of Vinton County High School.  Cody leaves behind a very heartbroken family; his parents, Terry and Kristy (Gilliland) Napper; sisters, Tera Carter, Brandi Whalen (Jerry) and Heather Shehadi (Shaun); and little brother, Casey Napper (Shanea).  He also leaves behind a niece and nephews, Andrew Carter (Haley), Krista Carter, Hunter Whalen, Bryar Whalen, Bentley Grant and Kasen Napper; great-nephews, Wesson Carter and Colter Carter; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  We will miss his sense of humor, his big smile, and even his aggravation he liked to dole out on us.  Calling hours will be Thursday, November 4th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Friday, November 5th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
