Cynthia Dawn Walker

Cynthia Dawn Walker, age 62, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Ohio Health Hospice House in Columbus. She was born November 22, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to Myron Eugene Walker and Ardith C. Dye Walker. Cindy was a 1982 graduate of Heritage Temple Christian School in Columbus and later received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cedarville University in 1987. She was a social worker for many years with Salvation Army and was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God in Columbus. Cindy enjoyed researching her family genealogy, as well as being outdoors enjoying nature and taking care of animals. She is survived by her mother, Ardith Dye Walker; nieces and nephews, Amber King, Jeri Wilson, Ashley Hulse, Shane Fahner and Suzanne Hemming; great-nieces and great-nephew, Makayla Reed, Aiden King, Aulbree Breeze and Eva Parkison; along with other extended family and friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Myron Walker; sister, Gwendolyn Walker Hulse; and grandparents, Oscar Walker, Fay Ingalls Walker, Clifford Dye and Everetta Woodruff Dye. In keeping with Cindy’s request, cremation followed her passing and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Ridgewood Cemetery.
