Darrell Edward McClaskey, age 47, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 13, 1971 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, son of the late Roger Lee McClaskey and Shirley Vern Orender McClaskey.  Darrell was a former truck driver who was employed in the past  by C.C. Caldwell.  He is survived by sister, Teresa Baird (Tom) of Gallipolis; brothers, Randy McClaskey of Wellston, Scottie McClaskey of Coalton and Todd McClaskey of Coalton; nephews, Michael McClaskey and Roger Allen McClaskey, both of Wellston; grandmother, Rosa McClaskey of Wellston; and his life companion, Joanna Cooper of Wellston.  Besides his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Orender, Frona Holcomb Orender, and Charles McClaskey.  In keeping with Darrell's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will follow at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
