David West McKinniss

  David West McKinniss, age 69, passed away May 29, 2026. He passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved him dearly, and he will be dearly missed. David was born to the late Hobart D. McKinniss and Christine M. West McKinniss of Wellston. Oftentimes there is a list of survivors, but it is impossible to list all the lives that he touched and people whom he impacted. His love remains exponential. David is survived by anyone reading this, and if you are reading this, hug your people, and most importantly, LOVE. A memorial funeral mass for David will be held Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 227 South New York Ave., Wellston, Ohio 45692. Burial will follow on the family plot in Ridgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to Creation for Cures, an organization that uses art projects to heal children with cancer.
