David Robert "Dave" Rhodeback, 78, of Wellston, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on the evening of August 31, 2025, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.  Dave was surrounded by the people he loved and the people who loved him. He was born February 16, 1949, in Columbus Ohio.  Dave was a hard worker; he was employed by Riverview Productions until his retirement. His favorite work site was the roadside rest area on SR 35 at Rio Grande. Following his retirement, Dave continued to work at Riverview Productions workshop in Wellston, until his death. Dave loved all holidays. He looked forward to every community celebration including the Ohillco Festival, Jackson County Fair, and the Jackson County Apple Festival. He loved transistor radios, flashlights, and coffee. Dave attended Uncle Joe's Chapel Church. Dave is survived by his guardian Mandy VanBibber of Jackson; his best friends, Carl Exline, Kelsey Jackson, Jacob Wyatt, Chelsie Mollett, Jesse Mollett, Laura Ousley, Ted Staten, Brittany Sexton of Wellston; and many more fans and friends than can be counted. He was preceded in death by his friends Bernie Hildebrand and Robert Lampkin.  Calling hours are Wednesday, September 3rd from 1 pm to 2 pm. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 2pm with Pastor Rick Jonas officiating. Cremation will follow with interment in Ridgewood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
