  Bartholomew F. “Bart” Supino, Jr., age 91, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home. Son of the late Bartholomew F. Supino, Sr. and Margaret Paul Supino, he was the first baby born on January 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. Bart was a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He retired from both the Nissan Motor Corporation and the American Red Cross. Bart was a Deacon with the Catholic Church, having been ordained through the Fort Worth, Texas diocese. He was a member and Deacon of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston and was known by many as “Deacon Bart”. Bart’s life was centered around his faith, his church, and his family. He always enjoyed having conversations with others, telling a story or just reminiscing. Bart was blessed with 4 children who survive him, Bart (Judy) Supino of Union, New Jersey, Joanne (Mike) Atwood of Wellston, Oh., Mark (Debbie) Supino of Blacklick, Oh., and Paul (Amy) Supino of Kingsport, Tenn.; grandchildren, Nicole Nadasky (Sam), Christine Supino (Dylan Kahn), Michael Atwood (Danielle), Chris Atwood, Ryan Studer (Kelsey), Matthew Atwood (Josie), Sarah Atwood, Gabe Supino (Jamie), Kendrick Dill (Luke), Daniel Supino and Joseph Supino (Madison); siblings, Victoria Wilkinson, Robert Supino and Ronny Supino (Janet), along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bart was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Joan E. Zenker Supino in 2020. Calling hours will be Thursday, August 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 28, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston with Father Thomas Herge officiating. In keeping with Bart’s request, his body will be cremated, and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 227 South New York Avenue, Wellston 45692 or the Jackson County Dog Pound, P.O. Box 606, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
