Dean Edward Shover, age 74, of Wellston, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home.  He was born November 10, 1950 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Robert Edward Shover and Bertha Ann Walton Shover.  Over the years, Dean was an auto mechanic with multiple businesses and eventually retired from Auto Zone in Wellston.  Dean's life revolved around his family and cars.  He loved drag racing and attending car shows, and also enjoyed deer hunting, talking with friends, and spending time with his family.  Dean was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Jackson.  He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Gail Ann Miron Shover; sons, Don Shover and Scott Shover (Tammy); grandchildren, Brandon Shover (Emme) and Hailee Garcia (Jesse); great-grandchildren, Della and Julian Shover; along with 1 brother, 3 sisters, and several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Steph Shover Jennings.  Calling hours will be Friday, June 27th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dave Reese officiating.  Burial will be in Mt.
