Debra Sue Bentley, age 69, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at her home.  She was born to the late Edgar Elden "Sonny" Eberts and Mary Elizabeth Smith Eberts at her parent's home in Hamden, Ohio on June 3, 1955.  Deb graduated from Vinton County High School with the class of 1973.  She was a loving housewife who was dedicated to taking care of her husband, sons and family.  Deb was also a former nurse's aide at Huston Nursing Home and employee at Dollar General in Wellston.  She was a born-again Christian who in the past attended Puritan Free Will Baptist Church and Glenroy Free Will Baptist Church.  Deb was a great cook and always canned everything that was harvested from their garden.  When time aloud, she enjoyed going out on the boat with her husband, Mike, fishing.  Deb is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike Bentley; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Michael and Kimberly Bentley and Shawn Anthony and Erica Bentley; grandchildren, Brittany Russell (Kyle), Brad Bentley (Tiffany), Ashlee and Valorie; great-grandchildren, Onyx and Copeland; siblings, Gene Eberts (Leona), Gary Eberts, Sharon Stacy (Dave) and Betty Rogers (Jim), along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, Deb was preceded in death by brother, Larry Eberts, and nephews, Jeffery Henderson and Jerrod Rogers.  Calling hours will be Thursday, November 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Friday November 15th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
