Deloris D. Davy, age 80, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at her home. She was born June 5, 1943 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, daughter of the late Glen O. Fanti and Theda E. Rennicker Fanti. Deloris graduated from New Philadelphia High School, as well as Hocking College, where she received her degree in Dietary Management. She was the former Director of Nutrition Services at Edgewood Manor in Wellston for 14 years and the co-owner of De'Claires Catering. Deloris was a very active lady who had a lifelong love of horses, and she kept herself busy with an array of hobbies such as cooking, painting, making stained glass items, working in her flower gardens, and the list could go on and on. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. Deloris is survived by her children, Alan R. Davy of Wellston and Cristy K. Hall (Albert) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Ryan Darnell (Kelsey), Vincent Davy, and Carissa Ferguson (Caleb); great-grandchildren, Reese Darnell and Brooks Ferguson; brother, Glen Fanti; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John R. Davy in 2015; and her sister, Beverly Patterson. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 13th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where a Rosary service will begin at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 14th, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Herge officiating. In keeping with Deloris's wishes, cremation will follow the service.
