Obituary

Norah Denise (O'Connor) Corbman, lovingly known as Denise, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Wellston, Ohio, on September 4, 1954, to Robert and Eva O'Connor, Denise lived a life shaped by hardship, resilience, and a love that ran far deeper than words could express.  A 1972 graduate of Wellston High School, Denise spent most of her life in the Wellston area and had made her home in McArthur, Ohio, for the past year. Life was not always kind to her, but she met every trial with quiet strength and unwavering devotion to her family. Widowed at a young age, she raised her three children with fierce determination, pouring everything she had into making sure they were safe, supported, and loved.  Though life sometimes made her feel like she had to keep her guard up, those closest to her knew how deeply she loved. Her loyalty was unshakable, her presence steady, and her love—though sometimes unspoken—was always felt. She gave everything she had, even when it cost her greatly.  Denise also had a spunky personality that brought unexpected laughter and boldness into every room she entered. She was quick-witted, strong-willed, and never afraid to speak her mind. That spark stayed with her through every stage of life and will be deeply missed.  In her final months, something truly beautiful happened. Denise found peace. She reconnected with her faith, grew closer to her loved ones, and offered grace and forgiveness to many—even when it wasn't hers to give. For those who couldn't be with her in those final moments, please know: she still loved you deeply and carried you in her heart until the very end.  Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eva O'Connor; her sister, Charlotte Bates; and her husband, Clyde Harvey Jr. She is survived by her children—Timothy Harvey of Jackson, Ohio; Rachael Mahle of Columbus, Ohio; and Tiffiany Harvey (Jonathan Piatt) of McArthur, Ohio.  She was a proud and loving grandmother to Brittanie Mahle, Ashleigh Mahle, Andrew Mahle, Chelsea Mahle, Maycey Beagle, Madyson Beagle, Jazylyn Beagle, Nina Harvey, Nava Harvey, Archer Harvey, Torie Piatt, Derik Piatt, Calyb Graves, Khloe Piatt, Nolen Piatt, and Ayden Piatt. Her heart overflowed with love for her 12 ½ great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers—Patrick O'Connor, Dennis O'Connor, and Michael O'Connor; her three nephews; and her special niece, Shelley King, whom she held close to her heart.  Denise's life was a testament to endurance, bold love, and quiet strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and the love she gave will echo through the generations she leaves behind.  "Be kind. Be honest. Forgive often. Let go of what hurts and hold on to what heals."  Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 6th, from 5 to 8 p.m.at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 7th, at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Tracy Carpenter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Radcliff Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
