Donald C. Wiseman

Donald C. Wiseman, age 92, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born October 22, 1933 in Orton, Ohio to the late Pearl Wiseman and Elizabeth Beebe Wiseman. Don retired from Kuppenheimer Inc. in Wellston where he was employed for over 40 years. A member of Truth Church in Hamden, he was well-known by the congregation for his beautiful piano playing, which he did by ear. Don was a great bowler, enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. In his latter years, he loved arts and crafts, especially painting birdhouses. Don found the most joy in sharing whatever he grew or painted with others. But more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Don is survived by his children, Diana Wiseman King (Chris) of Wellston, Tammy Wiseman Parsons of Wellston, Greg Wiseman (Tina) of Francisville, Ky., and Brian Wiseman (Mandy) of Gallipolis; sister Nellie Eberts of Hamden; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years in 2015, Wilma Lucille Graham Wiseman; son-in-law, Russ Parsons; and eight siblings: Elvetta Eberts, Irene Walton, Ott Wiseman, Floyd “Butch” Wiseman, Frank Wiseman, Glenn Wiseman, Frances Eberts and Raymond Wiseman. Private services will be held under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with burial in Hamden Cemetery.
