October 13, 1932 – February 14, 2020
Donna P. Kisor, age 87, of Wellston, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born October 13, 1932 in Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late Donald J. Salmans and Avonelle M. Hounstine Salmans. Donna graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1950. She retired from the Wellston City Schools, where she served as the high school study hall monitor for over 25 years. During that time, Donna made many friendships with students, and those relationships remained throughout the years. She enjoyed traveling, socializing and spending time with her family. Donna was a longtime, dedicated member of Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women group. She was a member of the Wellston Senior Citizens; volunteered at My Brother's Place, and worked the election polls for several years. Donna is survived by her children, Patty Pratt (James) of Chillicothe, and Jacob "J.P." Kisor (Tammy) of Shallotte, NC; grandchildren, Jacob B. Kisor of Fayetteville, WV, Sara E. Fraley (Willis) of Knoxville, TN, Paul David "Pete" Kelly (Cheryl) of Monroe, OH, and April Rolfe (Lenny) of Chillicothe; sister, Darlene Barnes (Dale) of Delaware, OH; as well as 5 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jacob J. "Jake" Kisor in 2000. Calling hours will be Monday, February 17, 2020, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 1 P.M. at the Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston with Pastor Susan Keeton and Pastor John Pelletier officiating.
