Donna Ruth Sowers, age 83, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.  She was born October 20, 1940 in Ranger, West Virginia, daughter of the late Shelby E. Webb and Berlie Baisden Webb.  Donna was a loving homemaker, and with her nurturing personality she loved taking care of others.  She enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone, watching hummingbirds, and in her younger years, she loved and enjoyed bowling.  Donna is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Otis Sowers, whom she married on January 18, 1958; children, Vicki Ousley of Wellston, Shirley Stewart of Jackson, and Mark Sowers (Tracey) of Jackson; grandchildren, Amy Mullins, April Stewart, Jacenta Collins, Kristi Gibson, and Timmy Sowers; step-grandchildren, Brandi Searles, Cody Ray, and Haley Butts; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shelley Rowe; and siblings, Shelby Webb, Jr., Archie Webb, Gerald Webb, Eugene Webb, Annabelle Sowards, Thelma Eanes, Carol Baker, and Hazel Scott.  In keeping with Donna's requests, there will be no services and cremation followed her passing.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Donna's memory be given to a favorite charity of one's choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
