Donnie R. Hutchinson, age 89, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.  She was born July 21, 1936 in Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late Guston Burton and Leona Morris Burton.  Donnie was a 1954 graduate of Wellston High School.  Several years ago, she was an employee of Banquet Foods in Wellston, but mainly, Donnie was a housewife and homemaker who always made sure her family came first and was taken care of.  She enjoyed cooking family meals, taking rides in the country, going out to eat, and shopping.  Donnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston and the American Legion Post 371 Ladies Auxiliary.  She is survived by her sons, Tony Hutchinson (Sarah) and Randy Hutchinson (Kristi); grandchildren, Misty, Randy, Amy, Tonya, Christopher, and Bradley, along with several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Eugene "Gene" Hutchinson in 2017; and siblings, Ruby McCray, Opal Phillips, Pearl Zimmerman, James Burton, and Guston Burton, Jr.  Calling hours will be Sunday, August 3, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
