Dorothy Faye Newman, age 72, of Hamden, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at her home.  She was born May 24, 1949 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Delmar Wiseman and Mayrune Patton Wiseman.  Dorothy retired from the State of Ohio, having been employed at Lake Hope State Park for 35 years.  Dorothy was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking.  She was a member of and attended Puritan Free Will Baptist Church.  Dorothy is survived by her children, Billy Newman of Puritan, Melissa Newman (Ronald McBride) of Mansfield and Eric Newman (Trishanna) of McArthur; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kisor, Joshua Newman (Latisha), Zeke Newman, Zacc Newman, Ryder Newman, Maddox Newman, Charlie Rayele Newman and Daisy Newman; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Kisor; brothers, Delmus "Bud" Wiseman (Edith) of Beaver, Terry Wiseman (Vickie) of Hamden and Gary Wiseman (Cheryl) of Hamden; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. "Larry" Newman in 2020; and sister, Patricia Wiseman.  Calling hours will be Monday, November 1st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.  Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
