Obituary

Paul Douglas "Doug" Ousley, age 66, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at his home surrounded by loved ones following a long battle with Huntington's Disease.  He was born April 11, 1959, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Leonard "Tim" Ousley and Mary Agnes Snyder Ousley.  Doug graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1977.  He was a former employee of Walker Machinery and a former coal miner with Jay Myer Coal Company where he was employed for several years.  Doug loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He especially loved cars, hunting, fishing, and was a die-hard Ford man.  Doug was an avid worker and hell-raiser to all that knew him.  He attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Gallipolis.  Doug is survived by his wife, Jennett "Tweet" Oiler Ousley; 2 daughters, Amy Mullins and Tasha Alvaro (Kristine); grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brenden Mullins and Parker, Pryce and Haven Alvaro; siblings, Linda Clark, Timmy Ousley, Beth Riley (Jim), Susan Ousley, Laura Ousley (Teddy), Sylvia Mannering (Shane), and Sarah Jordan (Tony); mother of his children, Vicki Ousley; special sister-in-law, Jennell Oiler, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley Ousley Rowe; brother-in-law, Bobby Clark, as well as several aunts and uncles.  Calling hours will be Thursday, January 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Doug's name be given to the Huntington's Disease Association of America, Ohio Chapter; 505 Eight Avenue, Suite 902, New York, New York 10018 or give@hdsa.org/campaign/756393/donate.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
