Dreama Lee Marquis, age 85, a former resident of Wellston and McDermott, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Kernersville, North Carolina.  She was born January 12, 1938 in McGuffey, Ohio, daughter of the late Miles Sturgell and Julia Minix Sturgell.  Dreama attended Union School near Otway, Ohio, as well as Radcliff High School.  In years past, she was an employee of the former Hercules Trouser Company in Wellston.  Dreama enjoyed being a caregiver for several, including her family.  She was great at hospitality, so everyone loved gathering at her home.  She loved working crossword puzzles, playing games, going on cruises, and traveling.  Dreama was a member of the Wellston Church of God and the McDermott Church of God, and volunteered at the food bank.  She is survived by her children, Roy "Butch" Garey (Rachel) of Waco, Ky, Tina Bright (Vic) of Kernersville, NC, and Tammy Parrish (Nolan) of Thomasville, NC; sister, Betty Moore of Hamden; along with 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Dreama was preceded in death by her husband, John Marquis; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.  Calling hours will be Saturday, February 18th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
