Earl F. Norton, age 84, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at his home.  He was born December 27, 1935 in Radcliff, Ohio to the late Harry E. Norton and Ruth Zinn Norton.  Earl was a former salesman for Oury Supply, and then later for G&M Supply, from where he retired.  You could often see Earl riding his golf cart around Wellston and stopping to loaf with his friends at the BP Station.  He was a collector of whiskey bottles and old toys, an avid gardener, and he loved watching Western shows on T.V.  Earl is survived by his daughters, Gail Arthur (Steve) of Jackson, Joyce Jacobs (Mike) of Wellston, Jean Martin of Wellston and Diane Beatty (Tim Scarberry) of Jackson; sister, Grace Rollins of Missouri; brothers, Lanny Norton (Lynn) of Albany and John Norton (Priscilla) of Springfield; along with 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Kaye Hill Norton in 2015; sons, Earl Norton, Jr. and Jerry Dale Norton; sons-in-law, Scott Beatty and Bob Martin; sisters, Lela Norton and Norma Gray; and brothers, Bob, Ray, Amos, Leland, Herbert, Harry, Willis and Clyde Norton.  There will be no calling hours.  Private graveside service will be Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
