Earl Joseph Collins, Sr. age 84, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.  He was born November 12, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Lauretta Markham Collins.  Over the years, Earl had several occupations including an x-ray repairman, maintenance man at Goodyear in Jackson, and working at Walmart, where he made several friends.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, panning for gold, and taking long drives in the car touring the United States.  He is survived by his children, Laura Hill (Glen), EJ Collins (Heather), Robbie Collins (Debbie), Shawn Collins (Marelena), Christopher Collins (Lisa), Carol Pitts (Casey), and Erin Morley (Sean), along with 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Ellen Weston Collins.  Cremation followed Earl's passing, and a family gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
