Edward Eugene Boyd, 71, of Vinton, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.  He was born March 9, 1951 in Gallipolis to the late Edward Huston and Doris Elean Boyd. Edward served in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam and following his service worked at General Mills from which he retired. In his younger years Edward was an outdoorsman and loved to go hunting and fishing. He is survived by his companion of many years, Katheen Hunt and her family; children, Ermeleen St. John (Larry), Tammy Pearson (Herbert), and Christopher Hunt (Katie Hammett); grandchildren, Ryan St. John, Derek St. John, Bryan Hunt, Zachary Jones, Paisley Pearson, Shawna Spencer, Jenna Beam, Kaylee Hammett, and Mason Hammett; along with 9 great-grandchildren and several other family members and friends. In keeping with Edward's wishes his body was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior the service at the funeral home.
