Elizabeth C. Canter, age 71, of Jackson, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born May 5, 1952 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Edward B. Canter and Eliza J. Kelly Canter.  Elizabeth graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1970 and was a former employee of Campbell's Mushroom Farm in Jackson.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston, and always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Elizabeth is survived by her children, Larry D. Rafferty, Jr., and Esther E. Rafferty; along with 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Alethea; and 9 brothers and sisters.  Cremation followed Elizabeth's passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and burial will be in the Glenroy Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
