Ernestine V. Davis, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born November 7, 1934 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Ernest and Violet (Reed) Jayjohn.  Ernestine graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1952.  She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed shopping, reading and playing bingo.  Ernestine is survived by her children, Jacqueline Burnside (Arthur) of Wheeling, West Virginia, Gregory Davis (Elenia) of Caldwell, Texas, and Gretchen Carter of Wellston; sisters, Betty Arms and Wylodine Kessler, both of Hamden; along with 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Jack" Davis; son, James Jayjohn; daughter, Mary Catherine Davis; granddaughter, Morgan Craddock; and brothers, Sonny Jayjohn and Bill Jayjohn.  In keeping with Ernestine's wishes, her body was cremated.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt.
