Evelyn Menix Williams Collins, age 91, of Wellston, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from her home.  She was born June 5, 1934 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elba and Edith Greer Menix.  Evelyn retired from the Wellston City Schools, where she was employed as a school bus driver for 28 years.  She was a former faithful member of Freedom Chapel Church in Wellston, formerly known as Wills Chapel, where she served as the Sunday School treasurer and Second Elder.  Presently, Evelyn was attending Fire Church.  Evelyn enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, and shopping and spending time with her girls.  She is survived by 5 daughters, Diana Devlin (Bob) of Jackson, Mary Burris (Jim) of Carrollton, Debbie Burris (Leonard) of Jackson, Sheila Benson (Brad) of Wellston and Tonya Faught of Jackson; sister, Darlene Jackson of Marion; step-son, David Collins (Kim) of Wellston, along with 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Williams in 2006; second husband, Johnny Collins in 2012, step-son, Carl Wayne "Butch" Williams; and 1 sister and 3 brothers.  Calling hours will be Sunday, June 29th, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 3 p.m. with Pastor David Collins officiating.  Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
