Evlyn Marie Timms, age 78, of McArthur, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  She was born December 17, 1944 in Laurelville, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert M. Stewart and Phyllis O. Tucker Stewart.  Evlyn, along with her husband Gene, was the former owner of H&R Block in both Wellston and Jackson.  She was also a former employee of Austin Powder, and a receptionist at the optometry office of Dr. J. Edgar Evans.  Evelyn enjoyed making ceramics, collecting hummingbird figurines, line dancing, traveling, and her time living in Florida.  She attended Pleasant Valley Trinity Church in Londonderry and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in McArthur and Sereno Chapter #128 Order of the Eastern Star.  Evlyn is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Franklin Eugene "Gene" Timms; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Eugene and Renee Timms and John Martin and Julie Timms, all of McArthur; grandchildren, Danielle Staten (Robbie), Cassandra Hogan (David), Ryan Timms (Kat Laclede), Conor Timms, Mary Kate Timms, Megan Lamb (Nathan), Kelsey Day and Ryan Day (Cassie); sister, Hope Edwards of Wellston; along with 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 10th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 11th, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Rev.
