Floyd Dean Mullins, age 76, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at his home. He was born July 12, 1948 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Emzie Mullins and Betty Lafferty Mullins. Floyd was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of Bluegrass Sawmill and served as the Jackson County dog warden for several years. Floyd was a "Jack of all trades' who liked working with his hands. He was a builder, an electrician, and especially enjoyed working on cars. In his spare time, he could be found hunting, attending flea markets, raising roosters or watching wrestling. Floyd was a member of the DAV Jackson County Chapter #45. He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Hill (Tom Hafer), Teresa Phillips, Deidra Mullins, and Roxie Mullins; sister, Ethel Faye Williams; brothers, Curtis Mullins, Hobert Mullins (Brenda), Emzie "Tubby" Mullins, and Alex Mullins; along with 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Ann Malone Mullins in 2022. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.
